High spirits at 2010 Women's Mini Marathon

The 2010 Women’s Mini Marathon took place on Bank Holiday Monday, June 7th and among the 40,000 participants were 270 generous St. James’s Hospital supporters. Despite the damp weather, fun was had by all as they walked jogged and ran the 10k race to raise funds for a variety of different departments, wards and services at St. James’s.

After the finish line, participants came together to celebrate their achievement at the O’Callaghan Stephen’s Green Hotel. They enjoyed refreshments supplied by the hotel and massages from the hospital’s Department of Physiotherapy using the Natural Medicine Company’s Weleda Arnica Massage Balm. Three lucky participants took home spot prizes of running shoes, kindly donated by Cornmarket Insurance. To view photos from the event please click here.
