Bride and Groom Support St. James's Cancer Unit

Declan and Sharon Callan

St. James’s Hospital Foundation congratulates Declan and Sharon Callan on their marriage, which took place August 15th 2008, at Cabra Castle, Co Cavan. Declan and Sharon generously decided to make a donation to St. James’s Hospital in lieu of wedding favours for their guests.

The newlyweds, originally from Dundalk but now living in Louth, have requested that their donation be used to benefit the Cancer Unit at St. James’s. Declan explained why the couple chose to donate to St. James’s: “Three of my uncles suffered with cancer, and Sharon’s brother was also a patient of the Cancer Unit at St. James’s. Given the great work they do there, we couldn’t think of a more worthy cause.”

St. James’s Hospital Foundation would like to thank Declan and Sharon for their generosity and we wish them the best of happiness together.
