Seamus Boyce
Seamus and Martina Boyce raffled a motorbike for St. James’s in April 2008 in their pub in Fintown, Letterkenny. With second and third cash prizes also, the raffle generated €3,620, which Seamus and Martina donated to St. James’s.
One of four motorbikes owned by Seamus, the motorbike raffled was a 600 cc Honda motorbike that has toured the world and even travelled to the Isle of Man TT event. The generous raffle ticket buyers were Seamus’s friends and other motor bike enthusiasts.
Following a motorbike accident, Seamus had spent a month in St. James’s and said that this raffle was their ‘way of saying thank you’ for the care and attention he had received at the hospital. The staff of St. James’s Hospital Foundation thank Seamus and Martina for their generous initiative and for all the trouble they went to in organising the draw. We are so grateful to all those who participated and bought raffle tickets.
