Dublin Half Marathon

Mr Colm Dooley

The sun shone down on Dublin on Saturday, September 20th 2008, as 4,500 runners took to the Phoenix Park to take part in the Dublin Half Marathon. St. James’s Hospital was very grateful to have had one seasoned runner, Mr Colm Dooley, taking part on our behalf.

Colm, a secondary school teacher in the Catholic University School, Dublin, decided to use his participation in the Half Marathon as an opportunity to raise funds for the Oncology Unit at St. James’s. As a patient of this service, it was a cause close to his heart.  Colm raised over €2,300 in sponsorship, funds that were very gratefully received by St. James’s Hospital Foundation for the benefit of the Oncology Unit at St. James’s.

St. James’s Hospital Foundation congratulates Colm on his half marathon and thanks him for his generous fundraising efforts on behalf of St. James’s.
