Parachute jump first for cancer research

Grace Moloney Goslin ready for action

On October 1st, 2007 Grace Moloney Goslin did a sponsored parachute jump at the Irish Parachute Club in Co Offaly. For her it was a first parachute jump and was done as a 'tandem jump' in the company of an instructor. Grace described the experience as 'wonderful' and 'unforgettable' and, best of all, she was thrilled to be able to donate €4,500 raised to cancer research at St. James's.

Grace's husband was a patient of the hospital, and Grace wanted to make a personal contribution to St. James's to thank the consultant and staff for their great support during the previous three years. Donations given for cancer research in general at St. James's are customarily disbursed to the hospital's Cancer Clinical Trials Unit to cover the costs of the unit's research work with patients. Grace and her family are from Lucan in Co Dublin.
