Women's Mini Marathon Diet and Training Advice

Dr Jenny Porter, Consultant Anaesthetist, and Rachel Fitzgerald, Department of Physiotherapy, St. James’s Hospital, following last year’s Mini Marathon

The 2009 Women’s Mini Marathon will took place on Bank Holiday Monday, June 1st and the Foundation is delighted to have had so many patients, visitors and members of staff using their participation to raise funds for St. James’s Hospital.

St. James’s Hospital Foundation is also very grateful to have had the support of the hospital’s Departments of Physiotherapy and Clinical Nutrition in relation to our Women’s Mini Marathon fundraising.  Rachel Fitzgerald and Kate Devenney, Department of Physiotherapy, and Joanne Walsh, Department of Clinical Nutrition, kept our participants up to date every fortnight with some advice via email on how to get fit and healthy in the run-up to the big day.  Please read some of their articles below.

For more information on taking part in the Women's Mini Marathon to benefit St. James's Hospital, please contact Julie Adamson in the office of St. James's Hospital Foundation.
