Travelling to the Fun Run and parking
The Irish Museum of Modern Art is located at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham which is located within a five-minute walk of both Heuston Station and the Luas stop at St. James’s Hospital. Please note that no parking will be available within the grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham but that there is a public car park on Thomas Street.

Bag Drop and changing
There will be an attended bag drop facility where participants can leave tracksuits and bags while on the Fun Run. The bag drop will be open from 5 pm and will close at 9.30 pm – by which time all bags should be removed.

Participants should please also note that, although the bag drop will be attended, bags will be left at the risk of owners and it would be advisable to leave valuables at home.

And participants should also please note that there will be no changing facilities and it would be advisable therefore to arrive in running / walking gear.

Safety
The Gardaí will calm  traffic on the course of the run. Gardaí will escort the runners and there will also be stewards along the route. Traffic will be calmed at all junctions. Walkers should keep to the footpaths however and follow the instructions of the stewards and Gardaí along the way. Walkers should exercise normal care and attention when crossing roads.

All participants understand and agree that in taking part in the St. James’s Hospital Liberties Fun Run they do so entirely at their own risk and agree that the organisers of the run will not be held responsible under any circumstances for any accident or injury sustained before, during or after the event, nor for any theft, loss of, or damage to any property left in the ‘bag drop area’ or elsewhere at or about the area of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham before, during or after the event.

Warm-up
Chartered physiotherapists from the Department of Physiotherapy at St. James’s will do a warm-up stretching session before the Fun Run. This will take place on the West Avenue at the Royal Hospital and will start at 7.30 pm.

Cool down, stretching, massages
Following the Fun Run, the chartered physiotherapists will provide all participants with massages.
