How donated funds are used
Donated funds received are used to improve the treatment and welfare of current and future patients of St. James’s.
Funds received for the general benefit of St. James’s are disbursed within the hospital following an annual competition open to all hospital departments and members of staff.
Donations dedicated for a specific department or purpose are ring-fenced, and disbursed following agreement with the local department involved.
The Foundation office also manages funds on behalf of individuals within the hospital who fundraise for their own departments – and administers disbursement from these funds.
