A Competency Based approach to Recruitment & Selection has been developed in St. James's Hospital. This is to ensure the Hospital applies a fair and transparent selection process, in line with Equality Legislation, to the appointment of staff to all positions within the organisation. This Competency Framework will initially be applied to four job categories:
This change is effective from 1st February 2008. All vacancies within the four job categories (listed above) will be processed under this new Framework going forward.
For areas outside of the four job categories above, our current recruitment process and relevant templates remain unchanged for the process of application for candidates.
