Our visiting hours are 2.30pm – 3.30pm and 7.00pm – 8.00pm daily.

Visiting outside these designated hours must be discussed with the Clinical Nurse Manager or Nurse in Charge. Meals are served at the following times on Margaret Kehoe ward: Breakfast – 8.45am / Lunch – 12.00 / Dinner 5.00pm. The Security Department in St. James Hospital work closely with ward management to ensure the provision of a safe environment for all of our patients and staff. Feedback is important to us so if you wish to provide feedback please contact a member of staff or ward management.


Genitourinary Medicine and Infectious Diseases (GUIDE)


Margaret Kehoe Ward is a 34 bedded medical unit which specialises in Genitourinary Medicine and Infectious Diseases (GUIDE). Our ward consists of 4 six bedded bays, 1 three bedded bay and 7 siderooms. We are part of the Medical Directorate within St. James Hospital. We adopt a team lead approach in the delivery of our nursing care and endeavour to provide an effective clinical learning environment for all of our staff.

From the James’s Street entrance proceed to Junction 2, turn left and enter the main hospital building.

Continue straight down the corridor to the lifts located on the right hand side, highlighted as purple Route 5. Take the lift to the second floor. On the coridoor from the lift Margaret Kehoe ward is signposted left. Take the next right and then left to reach the ward.
