There is a rest period 1pm - 2pm , strictly no visitors allowed

Strictly no children under 14 years of age.

Acute Medical Admissions


St Kevins is part of a 59 bedded Acute Medical Admission Unit (AMAU).

The function of the AMAU is to provide an efficient service, rapid investigation,early diagnosis / treatment and early planned discharge.

The AMAU  is a short stay unit, it  receives acute medical patients from the Emergency Department 24 hours a day ,7 days a week. The maximum length of stay is 5 days and if  you need to stay longer you will be transferred to a ward that specialises in your illness, transfers out of AMAU take place 24 hours a day.

Continue straight and take the last right towards the blue Route 4. Then take the second turn on the left and continue down this corridor. St. Kevin's Ward is straight ahead.
