Mental Health Catchment Area

Introduction

"The St James's Hospital Mental Health Services catchment area is divided into 3 sectors: The Camac and Drimnagh Sector is based in St Martha's Day Service and serves the needs of the South Inner City, parts of Crumlin, Drimnagh and Terenure.The Owen Doher Sector is presently based in the Jonathan Swift Clinic and serves the needs of suburban areas such as Terenure, Rathgar, Rathfarnham and Ballyboden.

All roads covered within the St James's Mental Health Services catchment area are listed below.  Referrals for patients living within the above areas should be sent as follows:

  • Drimnagh and Camac to St. Martha's Day Service, Kilmainham, 730 SCR, Dublin 8.
  • Owen Doher Day Service, Jonathan Swift clinic, St James's Hospital.
  • Referrals for persons over 65 years should be sent to the Martha Whiteway Day Hospital, St. Patrick's Hospital.
