Mr Charles Normand is Professor of Health Policy and Management at Trinity College Dublin and Professor of the Economics of Palliative Care and Rehabilitation at King’s College London. His research interests are in economic aspects of health and healthcare provision, with an increasing emphasis in recent years on the economics of ageing and on palliative and end-of-life care. He is a member of the Health Research Board and the Independent Patient Safety Council.
