The hospital’s new Heart Support Unit is the focus of current fundraising. Thanks to the generosity of our main sponsors, Diageo and Momentum Support, the net entry fees (a processing fee of €1.74 will be deducted for each on-line entry) and all sponsorship raised by the Fun Run will support much-needed advancement to outpatient care for heart failure  patients at St. James’s Hospital. 

In 2009 St. James’s Hospital Foundation held the first annual St. James’s Hospital Liberties Fun Run – a fun event to benefit the patients of St. James’s. 685 people entered the 2010 race. They gathered in the beautiful grounds of the Irish Museum of Modern Art at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham (IMMA/RHK), had their faces painted by FM104’s Beetle Bug team, warmed up with hospital physiotherapists and then ran, jogged or walked 6.5 k around the Liberties and received post-race massages.
