As the former Vice-President and Managing Director of Hewlett Packard (HP), Mr Alexander started his career in Singapore and relocated to Ireland where he managed the Irish Operations and HP’s Global Consumer Supplies Business. Having spent over 30 years with global tech giant, HP, in both Singapore and Ireland Lionel Alexander has a strong background in advancing technical innovation.

In addition, Mr Alexander has a rich history of board appointments, including serving on the board at IDA Ireland for nine years and has significant experience of driving growth for various businesses.

Mr Alexander served as President and Board Member of the American Chamber of Commerce, and board member of the Irish Business and Employers Confederation (IBEC).

Most recently, Mr Alexander has completed a five-year term as Chairman of the Institute of Technology, Tralee. During his time in this position, Mr Alexander oversaw the institute’s amalgamation with Cork Institute of Technology, to become Munster Technological University.

Mr Alexander is currently the Chairman of Intact Software and Board Member of Finegrain Properties. He also serves in the advisory group of I-Form, the SFI Research Centre for Advanced Manufacturing.
