Development of a Risk Reduction Patient Decision Aid Toolkit for Women with a BRCA+ Gene Mutation

Women with a genetic mutation in the BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes have an elevated lifetime risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer. To address this risk, women are managed with a combination of radiological surveillance and/or risk-reduction strategies such as prophylactic surgery or risk-reducing medication.

This project aims to develop a web-based BRCA+ Risk Reduction Patient Decision Aid (PtDA) Toolkit. The BRCA+ Risk Reduction PtDA Toolkit will provide women with BRCA+ gene mutation with information to make informed decisions about BRCA+ cancer risk-reduction strategies.
