Professor Edgar is a consultant immunologist at St James’s Hospital and together with consultant immunologist, Dr Niall Conlan, provides both clinical and laboratory immunology services. Prior to this, Professor Edgar led the Regional Immunology Service for Northern Ireland. He was also appointed clinical associate professor, Trinity College Dublin in June 2019.
Professor Edgar has wide clinical and research interests and has held a number of national and international appointments. He is author /co-author of 90+ publications in peer- reviewed journals, he has authored/co-authored a number of textbook chapters, and has authored a clinical immunology textbook.
Professor Edgar is regularly invited to speak nationally and internationally on a range of topics.
