Patient Experience

The Information Management Services Department provide a framework of information services to support all aspects of the hospital.

Our main responsibilities involve:

  • Data and analytics
  • Engagement and delivery
  • Operations
  • Security and networks
  • Integration and enterprise architecture
  • The Data and Analytics Unit is responsible for:

    • The provision of management information internally and externally
    • Clinical coding of all inpatient and day case activity
    • The development and management of a data warehouse architecture
    • The provision of a client business intelligence framework.
  • The Engagement and Delivery Unit is responsible for the co-ordination of all services and systems across the hospital, planning and mapping of services and capability against resource requirements.

  • The Operations Unit is responsible for:

    • Helpdesk & customer support
    • Websites and web development
    • Technical, hardware & software support 
    • Budget management, vendor management and support services
  • The Security and Networks Unit is responsible for:

    • The security of the hospital’s network
    • Server management
    • Business continuity
  • Integration and enterprise architecture is responsible for the overall design of the enterprises digital architecture and ensures interoperability is enabled and data is aligned and available for our Centre for Data and Analytics.
