The Coronary Care Unit is for patients with cardiac conditions that require continuous monitoring and treatment. The majority of patients are admitted through our Emergency Department. A number of patients are also admitted via the Cardiac Catheterisation Lab following angioplasty or other specialised procedures. Following treatment, patients are then transferred to the cardiac ward as their condition improves.
