Patrick Kavanagh Ward specialises in acute medicine for elderly patients. Patients in this ward are directly admitted from the Emergency Department, nursing homes and our Acute Medical Assessment. After treatment, patients are either transferred to our rehabilitation/ transition unit, discharged home or to a long term care facility.
