Visiting the Hospital

Update 15/01/2024:
With the increase in community transmission of respiratory viruses, we would like to remind visitors not to visit the hospital if they are unwell or have flu like symptoms.

Visitors may be asked to wear a mask while in the hospital.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

St James’s Hospital is committed to providing safe, effective, person-centred healthcare in an environment that is appropriate and secure for patients, staff and site visitors.

We also recognise how important it is for patients to have loved ones visit while they are staying in the hospital.

With this in mind, the hospital has a number of measures in place to ensure that not only visiting is facilitated, but that it is facilitated in a safe way that reduces the spread of infectious diseases.
