Virtual Trauma Assessment Clinic

Our fracture clinics have been redesigned to offer you a safe and effective process for assessing your injury.

Based on your assessment in the Emergency Department today you have been referred for an Orthopaedic opinion. This will take place in our ‘Virtual Trauma Assessment Clinic’.

The Virtual Trauma Assessment Clinic is attended by a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist. They will review your notes and x-ray(s) and make a decision in relation to your follow up care. You do not need to attend the hospital for this assessment to take place.

A Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist will contact you by telephone after this review to inform you of the outcome/plan relating to your injury.

Please ensure the hospital has your correct contact details before leaving the emergency department today.

Should you not hear from us within 7 working days, please contact the Virtual Trauma Assessment Clinic.
