Mr Dhafir Alazawi

Mr Alazawi is a surgeon specialising in general and breast surgery at St James’s Hospital.

Mr Alazawi trained through the National Surgical Training Programme in Ireland and in 2011, he received a specialised fellowship in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery from The Royal Melbourne Hospital and The Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.

    • Breast cancer management, including patients with a high family risk history
    • Immediate and delayed breast reconstruction following breast cancer surgery
    • Breast reconstruction following risk reducing (prophylactic) mastectomy for high-risk patients, using a variety of reconstructive techniques such as implant and flap-based reconstruction
    • Breast reduction surgery
    • Breast augmentation
    • Bilateral mastopexy (breast lift surgery)

    General surgery

    Mr Alazawi has a long history of experience in a variety of general surgical procedures and techniques such as:

    • Laparoscopic cholecystectomy
    • Laparoscopic and open hernia repair
    • Laparoscopic incisional hernia repair
    • Gastro-intestinal and bowel surgery
