Dr Brennan graduated from University College Cork (UCC) in 2000 and completed general medical training in Beaumont Hospital and subsequently specialist training in Radiation Oncology in St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network in Dublin.

In 2010 Dr Brennan was appointed consultant radiation oncologist in St James's Hospital, Dublin and St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network. She specialises in the treatment of cancers of the head, neck, breast and skin.

  • Dr Brennan completed Clinical Research Fellowships at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne in 2008 and the Royal Marsden Hospital in London in 2009.

  • Dr Brennan was awarded membership of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland in 2002 and awarded Fellowship of the Faculty of Radiology in Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland in 2006.

    Other memberships include:

    • Chair of the Head Neck Cancer Disease subgroup at Cancer Trials Ireland and Irish Principal Investigator on several international clinical trials
    • Director of Research at St Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network and a board member of the St Luke’s Institute of Cancer Research since 2013
    • Director of the Board of the Irish Cancer Society since 2016
    • Member of the Faculty of Radiology Radiation Oncology Committee at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
