Mr Jahangeer graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2006. After successful completion of Irish Higher Surgical Training Scheme in Ireland, he undertook a fellowship at St Bart’s Hospital, London in complex adult and aortic surgery under the mentorship of Prof Aung Oo and Mr John Yap. Following the completion of his fellowship, Mr Jahangeer was appointed consultant cardiac and aortic surgeon in Manchester, UK before taking up a position at St James’s Hospital.

Mr Jahangeer completed his research MD thesis from July 2010 to June 2012 in University College Cork, Cork Cancer Research Centre.
The thesis was titled MD in Electro-chemotherapy, electro-gene therapy and immunotherapy in the treatment of lung Cancer’. The research was awarded an Enterprise Ireland Grant and won the ‘Invention of the year’ in UCC.
