Hamilton Okor |
Donal Hollywood Ward “Hamilton showed deep empathy, gentleness, kindness and care for my father in the most vulnerable time in one’s life and in moments before his final minutes in Donal Hollywood ward. He presence although no words were exchanged gave me great comfort in the most challenging time of both my father and I our lives. It’s the caring nature and how one made you feel that will forever be remembered by myself and my family. We thank him kindly and pray his kind work will continue to make difference to one’s life.” |
Renier Espiritu |
AMAU “Renier is a compassionate and empathetic worker. For my first shift on St Kevins as an Intern Nurse, Renier immediately greeted me with a great smile and great mannerism first thing in the morning. He has immense compassion towards staff and patients. He never once has an inappropriate attitude and never complains, he is a like a great friend you can always count on. His kindness and devotion to his staff and patients shouldn't go unnoticed and I believe he deserves this award and more.” |
Gerry Mitchell |
Abraham Colles Ward “Well, what can I say about Gerry. He is a credit to this hospital. His compassion, work ethic and professionalism is amazing. He has a genuine heart of gold, goes out of his way to make sure everyone he is attached to is comfy and that all are ok. During my stay Gerry was always available to help out with the little thing to big things. On a few occasions, Gerry had helped me into my bed and making sure that I was comfy and always had a smile on his face, and always checking if we in the ward were ok, and if we or I needed any help, he was always available and approachable, he is a credit to the hospital and he is a credit to himself and I feel that his attention to detail and his manner in which he approaches his job is amazing. A huge thank you to Gerry for making my stay as comfy as possible. Thank you again Gerry for all you do, you go above and beyond your daily duties as a HCA.” |
Mags O'Rourke |
Bank “I am a 90-year-old neck and head cancer patient. Never in hospital before T.G. Margaret (Mags) O’Rourke came into my life here, the sweetest soul: kind, sympathetic, most helpful to everyone, dedication beyond measure. In my opinion, definitely suited to her role, not only to me but all the other patients evenly. Her level of dedication is unquestionable. God bless her. “Mags” is a ray of sunshine during the day and no task is too much trouble, especially with my family at the moment who are so scared for me right now, all the patients love the positivity and her beautiful smile of reassurance. Mags is most definitely suited to this role in life, it is her calling! I could give lots of acts she has performed, far too numerous to mention. One thing for sure, Mags O’Rourke I will never forget.” |
