The annual St James’s Hospital Staff Recognition Awards ceremony took place on 11th December 2025. There were 10 awards, including 2 teams. This year marked the fifth year of the awards and celebrated staff for their outstanding contributions and dedication to patient care.
The winners of the awards are:
- Team of the Year Award – Emergency Department Team
- Outstanding Contribution – Donal Mc Kiernan, Technical Services Manager
- Outstanding Contribution – Laura Sweeney, Advanced Nurse Practitioner
- Service Excellence Award – Rachel Flannery, Clinical Nurse Specialist
- Lifetime Achievement Award – Majella Kelly, Ambulatory Care Manager
- Patient Choice Award (Clinical) – Bronagh O'Neill, Clinical Nurse Manager
- Patient Choice Award (Clinical) – Orla O'Brien, Occupational Therapist Specialist
- Patient Choice Award (Non-clinical) – Louise Monaghan, Administration Officer
- CEO Choice Award – Karina Delaney, Database Manager
- CEO Choice Award (Team) – Haematology Oncology Day Care
Speaking at the award ceremony, Chief Executive Officer of St James’s Hospital, “The hundreds of nominations received this year, highlight the great work happening across the hospital every single day. I would like to thank everyone who made a nomination, and in doing so, shared their personal experiences with us."
