The Maxillofacial Laboratory provides maxillofacial technical support for facial deformity, post-traumatic, post-cancer excision, facial pain and importantly facial prostheses. We provide technical support to the Cleft Orthodontic Service with the construction of orthodontic appliances and splint fabrication and model surgery for patients requiring corrective jaw surgery.
Referrals can be posted or sent via Healthlink to the relevant consultant in the National Maxillofacial Unit. For emergency referrals, please telephone the relevant secretary or consultant. Please see listing of consultants below.
Patients are encouraged to bring letters, X-rays, previous investigations and models to their appointment.
