Speciality: Orthodontics

Mr Mc Swiney trained as a dentist and specialist orthodontist at University College Cork, then as a consultant orthodontist at Oxford University Hospital and the Eastman Dental Hospital, London.

He has worked as a consultant orthodontist at the Dublin Dental University Hospital since 2016 and his current role as orthodontic lead at St James’s Hospital since 2019.

As part of the Dublin Cleft Centre team, he is responsible for advising and providing orthodontic treatment for patients with cleft lip and palate and craniofacial anomalies. This also involves giving advice to patients who may be undergoing treatment in our peripheral centres.
