  • Dr Beirne was appointed as a consultant geriatrician to St James’s Hospital and Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services in 2023. She previously worked as a consultant geriatrician in Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown from 2019.

  • Dr Beirne completed higher specialist training in geriatric medicine and general internal medicine in Ireland, achieving specialist registration in 2019. She completed further sub-speciality training in memory and cognitive disorders as the Watts Clinical Research Fellow in the National Memory Clinic in St James’s Hospital from 2012 to 2015.

  • Dr Beirne completed her undergraduate education through University College Dublin.
