Dr Conneely graduated from the University of Galway in 2009. She completed her higher specialist training in Palliative Medicine in Ireland in 2018 during which time she also undertook an MSc in Palliative Care in King’s College London. Dr Conneely worked as a research fellow in the Academic Department of Palliative Medicine, OLH&CS, and as a lecturer in Palliative Medicine in University College Dublin, before commencing her post in St James’s Hospital in 2022.

Dr Conneely’s research interests include end-of-life care and the social determinants of dying. Dr Conneely is a member of the Inclusion Health Research Group in Trinity College Dublin.
