Mr Theopold is a surgeon specialising in reconstructive plastic surgery, with a particular interest in cleft lip and palate, reconstruction of head and neck cancer defects, reanimation of the paralysed face, as well as skin cancer defects.
Mr Theopold undertook his plastic surgery training on the Irish Higher Surgical Training Programme, followed by fellowships in cleft surgery (Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, London), as well as head and neck reconstruction (Brisbane, Australia).
Mr Theopold studied Medicine at Oxford University and University College London Medical School and gained a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Oxford, in conjunction with Harvard University, Boston.
Mr Theopold’s main research is in surgical outcomes of cleft lip and palate, as well as flap reconstruction.
