HeartCode BLS Course

HeartCode® BLS is an Irish Heart Foundation (IHF) accredited blended learning programme from the American Heart Association (AHA). This course is a 2 part course;

Part 1: HeartCode® BLS online portion (approx. 1 hour). This is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses adaptive learning technology to allow learners to acquire and demonstrate Basic Life Support skills using a personalized learning path that adapts in real time to a learner’s performance. Prior to attending the face to face practical assessment the candidate must hold the Heartcode BLS part 1 completion certificate.

Part 2: A one hour classroom based skills practice and assessment. This practical assessment takes place in the Centre of Learning & Development, Trinity Centre for Health Sciences Building, St James Hospital,Dublin 8.
Once the registration and payment for the course is received, you will be sent an e-mail which contains instructions for logging into the course.

Prerequisites: N/A

Criteria for Successful Completion: To receive an AHA/IHF HeartCode BLS course completion card, both part 1 and part 2 of the BLS course must be successfully complete.
