The Robert Mayne Day Hospital (RMDH), was established in St James’s Hospital in 1988, for patients aged 65 years and above. Our primary aim is to improve and maintain the patients’ functional status in order to sustain and support their ability to continue to reside safely in the community. Our main goals are Rapid Access, Facilitating Early Discharge and Admission Avoidance.
• GP referrals should be sent via Healthlink to the Medicine for the Elderly Outpatient service for review in one of our clinics where they will be assessed for referral to the Robert Mayne Day Hospital.
