Cardiac Rehabilitation

What we do

Cardiac Rehab aims to get cardiac patients back to a full and active life after heart attack, angina, angioplasty and stenting or cardiac surgery.
We aim to help cardiac patients and their families understand the various heart conditions.  In addition we aim to educate, support and motivate them make the following lifestyle changes:

Give up smoking, achieve a normal cholesterol, control high blood pressure, achieve a desirable weight, manage stress, take regular exercise, understand medications, return to work or other activities.

Cardiac rehab can help patients recover after a coronary event by restoring confidence.

Our programmes are as follows:

  • Six week programme, three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.
  • Eight week programme, twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
  • We also run a modified programme for the older person on Wednesday afternoons. These programmes consist of exercise in the gym and educational talks and each session lasts about two hours.
