ICT Applications – This section provides the following services:

  • Application Support
  • Project Management
  • Business Processes re-engineering. Mapping business requirements to best fit information systems using best-practice methodologies
  • Software Implementation.
  • Project Oak

Technical Support – comprises of Helpdesk, Technical Support, Server Architecture and Networking

  • The Helpdesk is open 9 – 5 Monday to Friday, outside of these hours there is On-call service. 
  • Technical Support is responsible for the installation and maintenance of PC’s, printers, the development and updating of the hospital websites, web and mail servers.
  • There are currently 70 Database and Application servers supporting corporate and desktop systems running Windows, Unix and AIX on a network architecture centred around six core hub locations. 

Management Information - is responsible for the following functions

  • The provision of management information internally and externally.
  • Clinical coding of all inpatient and daycase activity and coding audit.
  • The development and management of a data warehouse architecture.
  • The provision of a client business intelligence framework.
