The Mercer’s Institute for Research on Ageing was established under the auspices of the Medicine for the Elderly Directorate in St. James’s Hospital in 1988.  With the closure of Mercer’s Hospital the Mercer’s Foundation was established to administer the funds raised from the sale of the hospital, it was with the Foundations support that the Mercers Institute was located in St. James’s Hospital.  The Institute provides clinical services through the Memory Clinic assessment and feedback process and Covered in detail under: -
