Workforce Information & Planning Unit

Department in Depth

The Workforce Information & Planning Unit, as part of the Human Resource function, is responsible for the management and administration of all aspects relating to Workforce data.  The unit was established following the merging of the following three departments from within the HR Directorate.

  • Salary Administration
  • Organisation Management (OM)
  • SAP HR

Workforce Information
Workforce Information is primarily concerned with providing the management of the hospital with real-time accurate information to assist in decisions affecting all aspects of human resources.  All report requests should be directed to

Workforce Planning
Workforce Planning is commonly defined as  “Having the right people with the right skills doing the right jobs at the right  time”.

Our objective is to ensure that HR plans are aligned with Departmental Service Plans and with the overall Corporate Strategy.  This will ensure that the organisation is placed in a position where the correct resources are in situation to meet the future demands from both the internal and external environment.
