Professor Duane is involved in research aiming to investigate the benefits and risks of radiotherapy for breast cancer and the development of dose-response relationships as well as projects focused on breast cancer radiotherapy optimisation. She is leading Ireland's participation in international clinical studies on the Cancer Trials Ireland Breast Disease Specific Site Group portfolio including a number of phase III clinical trials and prospective registry studies.
