Active research programmes: 

Prof. Hayes has generated over 2.2m in research grant funding since her appointment to TCD. She is currently completing We Can Quit2 (WCQ2): A pilot trial of a community-based smoking cessation intervention for disadvantaged women in Ireland funded by the Health Research Board. (HRB Definitive Interventions and Feasibility Awards (DIFA, 2017). She is a co-investigator on developing a collaborative strategy to optimise and scale-up Implementation of Making Every Contact Count (MECC), a brief intervention programme to address lifestyle risk factors for cancer and other chronic diseases, delivered by health professionals in multiple care setting and funded through a Health Research Board Applied Partnership Award (APA, 2019).
