Oral cancer is one of the most common cancers worldwide and as such early detection is imperative. With the current gold standard being a time intensive and invasive histopathological process we are currently examining the potential of Raman Spectroscopy to identify key molecular changes within suspected oral cancer cells. This will lead to a potentially quicker and biopsy free early diagnostic route for patients.
