Prof. Sheils’ research has led to discoveries highlighting pivotal mutations in cancers and directly influencing improved treatment of patients.  Her close collaborations with industry partners ensures her lab has pre-commercial launch access to novel chemistries. Her lab acts as a beta test site for new technology platforms and analysis kits. Her research focuses on elucidating the underlying mechanisms of human disease with a focus on cancer and metastasis of solid tumours.
