Mr. Rustom Manecksha, M.D., FRCS(Urol)

Rustom Manecksha graduated from the School of Medicine, University College Dublin in 2000. He was awarded his M.D. from Trinity College Dublin for his work on prostate cancer progression to androgen independence. He was awarded the FRCS(Urol) in 2009 and CCST in 2011. Mr. Manecksha then undertook a 2-year clinical fellowship at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, in Endourology and minimal access renal surgery. He was the recipient of the Anthony Walsh/Ipsen/RCSI Travelling Fellowship, the Ethicon Travelling Fellowship and the RCSI Travelling Fellowship. On completion of his clinical fellowship in 2013, Mr. Manecksha returned to a locum consultant position in St. James’s Hospital under the auspices of the National Cancer Control Programme for Prostate Cancer. He was subsequently appointed Consultant Urological Surgeon in St. James’s and Tallaght Hospitals, Dublin in 2014. He has a special interest in kidney stone disease, BPH, endourology, minimal access renal surgery and prostate cancer. He is a keen researcher and has an active clinical research profile as well as close links with the Institute of Molecular Medicine, Trinity Centre for Health Sciences.
